Take on Nepal are a professional Australian company, founded by Nepali born Som Tamang and his Irish partner Susan Devitt. We have deep roots in the mountain communities of Nepal, and all the local knowledge required to give you the experience you crave.

As well as providing inclusive Everest Base Camp and Views treks, we have a range of other itineraries covering many popular Nepali trekking routes, including Annapurna, the Three Passes and Langtang.

Operating from Cairns, Australia, and featuring staff in Australia and Nepal, we build and fashion our treks to meet Western tastes, while ensuring you see and experience all Nepal and the Himalayas have to offer.

At Take on Nepal, we’re committed to making your Nepal trek and experience, the best it can be.

We provide flexible departure dates and are happy to create a customised trek and tour itinerary to suit your group and interests. At Take on Nepal, our walking tours are as much about the people, as the places we visit. Talk to us about incorporating village volunteering, with your trekking.

The Lower Himalayas are dotted with small villages, each self-sufficient and self-contained, a small world unto themselves. Life carries on as it has done for centuries, almost untouched by modern technology.

We know these places. One of our founders came from such a village and that’s why we’re so excited, and delighted, to provide customized touring and itineraries for your Nepal adventure.

Talk to us today about your wish list and we’ll create something perfect for you.
