Your flights to Lukla from Kathmandu may be diverted to Ramechhap Airport. Here’s Why!

Trekking to Everest Base Camp with an Australian Company.

4 reasons to book your trek with an Australian Company:

1. On ground support:

We’re based in Cairns, Qld. We pride ourselves on providing a high level of information and pre departure support to our trekking clients, this is made possible because we are based in Australia. We regularly facilitate information sessions in cities around Australia and love connecting when possible with our trekkers. We believe when booking a trek, it’s important to be able to call a person in Australia to ask questions or share information. We also have the added advantage of our co-founder Som Tamang being from Nepal but based in Australia, he is in constant communication with our team in Nepal, this makes your experience as seamless as possible as there are no communication problems. We are mostly in the same time zone which means if any changes are made to your international flight, you can contact our team here in Australia and we pass that information on to our team in Nepal. Booking your trek with an Australian based company takes away a lot of stress and pressure from you.

2. Paying in Australian Dollars:

You have peace of mind in knowing that there won’t be any fluctuations in the cost of your trek, our advertised price is the price you will pay. Many companies based out of Australia will be charging you in US Dollars, when looking at the cost of your trek it’s very important to check which currency the cost is. If it’s in US Dollars the price is definitely not as great as it first looked!

The payment for your trek goes into an Australian bank account, it’s a risk free process. We had one experience of a trekker accidentally overpaying for the trek, we were easily able to refund the overpayment back into her account. This process would be much more difficult if we were not an Australian Company.

3. No language/cultural barriers:

We spend a lot of time communicating with our team in Nepal. Our co founder Som Tamang is from Nepal and is the logistics person, Som spends his time between Australia and Nepal. Som is a fluent English and Nepali speaker who has a deep understanding of both cultures, we believe this is such an important element in how we train our team in Nepal and how we operate here in Australia. We understand the Nepali people and our team have a good understanding of your expectations as a traveler in Nepal.

4. More accountability:

We want you to have the best possible experience in Nepal, this is important to us. We encourage conversations and feedback after your trip, it is always our sincere hope that you recommend us to your friends and family. We are always overjoyed when past trekkers join us at our information sessions in Australia to share their experience of their time with Take on Nepal. When possible we catch up with our trekkers to hear about their experiences, this is only possible because we are an Australian based company. We are available and want to connect with our trekkers. Having a positive experience with Take on Nepal has a wonderful flow on effect and we work hard to make sure you are happy with all aspects of your time in Nepal.
